Thank you for the short article! We are very happy to finaly jump on the web with the rest of our fellow Namibian websites! Trying our best to update the website everyday with the latest news aspecialy with the Rugby World cup coming closer and closer every day!
Soon the club rugby and the school rugby will be completed! Ha ha we know our page have a way of jumping out a bit when you have a bigger screen than the normal person, so please try and minimise your window size while visiting us and we promis to have a look at making it all fit in nicely! Thank you for the support and hope to see everyone at the world cup! It's less a problem of a bigger screen (in my case that's actually not that big - just a 19 inch TFT), but of your site expecting from visitors to have a screen resolution of more than 1024x768 pixels - and as such forcing more than 90% of your visitors to scroll your site sideways.
If you would remove the white eagles to the left and right of your main table (those Rugby_Logo_namibia.gif images - you could place them in the footer instead), and refrain from making tables size to 102% of the window, you should actually be able to fit everything inside a normal 1024x768 screen - from what I can see, you have only one table cell defined with an absolute width in order to make room for your footer info, so actually the site should also scale nicely on even an 800x600 resolution, despite the bigger graphics on some pages. You do have spacing problems on most of your sub-pages too though - check out the "Clubs" page for example, where the title graphics flow into two rows. Again: moving the two eagles to some other position on these pages should free the required space. Just a number of technical glitches though, from what I can see all things that are easy to fix... |
